Although some people wear them for health purposes, the majority or people wear them for sports and exercise purposes to monitor the increase or decrease in their heart rates. If measures precisely the number of beats per second to ensure that you are getting the maximum desired workout. Monitors range in price from reasonable to insanely expensive. While it is important to purchase a monitor that does its job, you do not need to spend and arm and a leg for one, unless of course, you are training for the Olympics!

No Harm No Foul in Harvesting Cord Blood

If you are thinking of preserving and storing your baby’s cord blood at birth, then here are a couple of things that might interest you.  Umbilical Stem Cells may or may not be used in life saving procedures due to the still unknown factors.  However, there is no harm and no foul if you choose to have your baby’s cord blood stored in a cord blood bank.  Be prepared to pay a big price and a yearly fee for maintenance if you decide to do this as it has a high price tag.  Even though currently there is no real proof that cord blood would ever be used or cure anything that might happen to your baby, there is nothing wrong with hope that the medical research in this area will find ways to make this work.
