The harder they work out, the higher their heart rate goes and vice versa. The more your heart rate increases, the more weight you lose. Your monitor does just that…monitor. If measures precisely the number of beats per second to ensure that you are getting the maximum desired workout. Monitors range in price from reasonable to insanely expensive. While it is important to purchase a monitor that does its job, you do not need to spend and arm and a leg for one, unless of course, you are training for the Olympics!
