Here is a handy to-do list when hunting for the perfect hipaa compliant medical billing software: Is the software rigid or flexible?  Does it support updates?  Do the updates come free or at an additional charge?Is the vendor reliable, professional, and reasonably-priced?Is there a guaranteed number of years (where support for the hipaa compliant medical billing software is concerned)?Do any flaws that may exist in compliance with HIPAA standards have workarounds?  (Ideally, there will be no problems, but let’s face it, some feature of the software may require some creativity on your part to ensure your organization is compliant.  As long as it’s not a major flaw, you should be fine.)
